About the event
This year, Celtic Easter falls one week after Roman Easter, on April 16. This largely silent retreat for Céile Dé caim members will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, and conclude before noon on Easter Sunday, April 16. Our time together will be shaped by rùn and paidirean and also by gathering daily to share what is arising for each of us out of the unfolding Easter story.
Food and Accommodations: We will enjoy the hospitality of the Sirius Community in Shutesbury, Massachusetts. Accommodations are simple, with just a three single and and and as many shared rooms. If you sign up for a shared room, please designate your roommate on the registration form and they will need to do the same. Meals are all organic and vegetarian.
PLEASE NOTE: Dinner on Thursday night will be a potluck Agape Feast in remembrance of the fellowship of the Last Supper. Please bring your vegetarian contributions to share.
What to Bring: Bed linens and a body towel are provided. Beyond that, please bring what you need, including toiletries, etc. The month of April at Sirius can be a bit wet or muddy when going off the beaten paths. We will have free time to walk and explore the lovely grounds. Good boots or footwear, rain gear, jackets etc., are all recommended.
Pandemic Protocol: Please bring a mask to the retreat. Sirius is currently not asking guests to mask in the Community Center common areas, but this may change if infection rates increase. We will need to answer some health questions when we arrive.
Above is the Sirius Community Center which houses the guest rooms, meals, and, upstairs, the spacious Octagon Meeting room where we will spend much of our time.
Registration: A $50 deposit will hold your place. The balance will be due by March 16.
Payment by mail:
- Register here online, but do not follow the link for online payment. You will receive an invoice by email.
- Print out the invoice and mail it with either your $50 check or full payment to: Termonn - East Coast Chapter c/o Melinda Gardiner 5 Dawson Road Hillsdale, NY 12529 Make the check payable to Termonn - East Coast Chapter. Be sure to write "2023 Easter Retreat" in the memo line of your check.
- Your deposit and any other payments will be applied to your invoice.
- Your balance is due by March 14 and can be paid by mail or online.
Payment online: You can register and pay the total amount using a credit or debit card through PayPal. (Sorry, but we can accept only full payments via PayPal.) Complete your registration online, and then continue by clicking the PAY button.
Cancellations: Cancellations received by March 16 will receive refunds of the amount paid, minus the $50 deposit. No refund will be made for cancellations after March 16, unless we are able to find someone else to fill your place.
Scholarships: Scholarships for retreat registration costs (but not for travel expenses) are available as Termonn Trust funds allow. Be sure to register at least one month in advance and follow the instructions on the Scholarships page on this website.
If you can afford it, please consider donating to the Termonn Trust to help others in need attend retreats.
